Barbara Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of Johnson Private Wealth Management LLC. Previously, Barbara’s financial consulting tenure was at Morgan Stanley in Chicago, where she finished first, nationally, in their Reach for Excellence program, and facilitated the single largest lending facility for the BusinesScape Division to date. During her successful tenure at Morgan Stanley, she brought more than $10 billion of business to Morgan Stanley’s fixed income, cash management, and investment banking divisions.
Barbara was educated at Roosevelt University in Chicago, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree, and at Keller Graduate School of Management, where she earned an MBA concentrated in finance.
Barbara was the treasurer of the Illinois Conservation Foundation from June, 2018 through June of 2022. She was appointed to the foundation board in 2012 by Governor Quinn, and then again in 2015 by Governor Rauner and continued to serve on the board until June, 2022. Barbara was instrumental in expanding ICF's Youth Conservation Education Center and developing their membership program, while building awareness throughout Illinois about the importance of youth conservation education.
From 2009 to 2013, Barbara was an At-Large Board Director for Ducks Unlimited, during which she co-chaired the national Conservation Programs Committee and was the recipient of the 2009 “Wings of Innovation” Award for the development of Ecopraxis. Barbara also served on the board of the American Land Conservancy in San Francisco during 2008 and 2009.
Barbara’s leisure time includes family, farming, traveling and gardening. She spends ample time tending to her farm, now planted in native grasses and wildlife food plots. She has a special interest in wildlife and habitat conservation.
